Cookies Notice

This notice reflects how tokenburners.co.in actually works today, not a generic template. Questions go to tokenburners2026@gmail.com.
1. Scope
This notice explains how TokenBurners ("TokenBurners", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on tokenburners.co.in, including its blog and case study pages (together, the "Site"). It describes what we use, why, how long it lasts, and the choices you have.
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data more broadly. Where the two overlap, the Privacy Policy governs questions about personal data and this notice governs questions about the technologies themselves.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
"Cookies" is shorthand for a couple of related technologies:
- Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits.
- Local storage is a browser feature that lets a site keep data on your device. Unlike a cookie, it is not sent to our server automatically — but the same principles apply, and we treat it the same way.
We currently use browser local storage — not a server-readable cookie — to remember your consent choice. If you accept analytics, the tool we load (Google Tag Manager) will set its own cookies, described in section 6. The Site does not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels.
3. How consent works here
On your first visit, a bar appears at the bottom of the page with two equivalent choices, and the Site is fully usable either way:
- Accept enables the optional analytics category described in section 4.
- Decline limits the Site to essential technologies only.
Two things matter about this design:
- Nothing optional runs before you choose. Our analytics script stays unloaded until you accept it.
- Your choice is revocable at any time. The Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page reopens the bar so you can change your mind.
Your choice is kept in local storage on the device and browser you used, until you change it or clear your browser's site data — we do not set an automatic expiry. If you visit from a different browser or device, you will be asked again.
4. The two categories

We don't currently run functional or marketing/advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll add the category here and re-ask for consent before anything new loads — see section 11.
5. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of analytics automatically, before the consent bar ever appears — your stored choice is set to declined. You can still change that afterward via the Cookie Preferences link. We honor GPC for every visitor, not only where it's legally required.
The older Do Not Track (DNT) header has no settled legal meaning. Because analytics is off by default regardless, the practical effect of DNT on this Site is the same as taking no action.
6. Cookie and storage inventory
This is the complete, current inventory of technologies on the Site.

7. Third-party tools
No third-party advertising, social, or cross-site tracking tools run on the Site. Two things worth knowing:
- Analytics. When enabled, we use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics or an equivalent, gated behind the Analytics category in section 4.
- Contact form. When you submit our contact form, the information goes directly to us to respond to your message. It does not set any cookie. We handle it ourselves rather than through a third-party email delivery service as of this notice.
8. Jurisdiction notes
We apply one consent model to every visitor, built to the strictest standard we serve, rather than varying it by region. A few specifics:
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
The ePrivacy Directive (and UK PECR) require prior consent for non-essential cookies, and the GDPR / UK GDPR require that consent be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. Our opt-in default, equal-prominence decline option, and one-click withdrawal are designed to that standard.
United States
State privacy laws including California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in other states give residents the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we honor Global Privacy Control as described in section 5.
India
TokenBurners is based in India. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires consent that is free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous, with a clear affirmative action. Withdrawal through the Cookie Preferences link is as easy as the original consent, consistent with the Act.
Other regions
Where no specific rule applies, we still apply the model above: nothing optional without an affirmative choice, and withdrawal at any time.
9. Browser controls
Independent of our consent bar, every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data, and browse privately. Blocking all site data may mean we can't remember your consent choice, and you'll be asked again on your next visit. Instructions live in your browser's help pages under "cookies" or "site data".
10. Retention
Your consent choice is kept in local storage until you change it via the Cookie Preferences link or clear your browser's site data — we do not set a fixed expiry. Any analytics cookies follow the retention set by the provider (Google), listed in section 6.
11. Changes to this notice
When our use of these technologies changes — for example, when we turn on analytics in production — we'll update this notice and the version line at the top first. If a change would expand what an existing consent covers, we'll re-ask rather than assume.
